TASTE-O-METER Rating:

"Big Train Spiced Chai powder mix indicates 3 tablespoons in 6 ounces of water to make an 8 ounce cup of chai. Not surprisingly the result is similar to David Rio Tiger Spice chai mix in terms of both richness and the slight thinness due to mixing solely with water. That is to say, these mixes with powdered milk and/or non-dairy creamer do offer some creaminess in the flavor for sure, but it seems not quite as smooth as the creaminess derived from adding at least a bit of actual milk (or milk substitute). While the taste difference between Big Train Spiced Chai and David Rio Tiger Spice is subtle, however, one look at the ingredients tells a different story. Big Train includes corn syrup, artificial flavors, mono- and di-glicerides, sodium aluminosilicate, etc. Now if such things aren't a big train of concern for you, this is a great choice... It certainly makes a good tasting cup of chai! Note the bold and spice ratings are below the sweetness factor. This is American chai, crafted for the American palatte."

I first had Big Train Chai Tea in Milwaukee and couldn't find it in my current area. I was glad to find it on Chai- Direct. Very yummy and lots of flavor choices. It hits the spot for cold winter.
