Third Street Chai's Honey Vanilla Spice is a rich, smooth blend of fine black tea, freshly-milled aromatic spices, wildflower honey and pure vanilla extract. Micro-brewed with pure Rocky Mountain water. 78% Fair Trade Ingredients.
Ingredients: Filtered water, Fair Trade Certified Organic Cane Sugar, Fair Trade Certified Organic Black Tea, Organic Cardamom, Organic Cinnamon, Organic Honey, Organic Ginger, Organic Vanilla Extract, Organic Allspice, Organic Clove, Organic Fennel, Organic Nutmeg, Organic Black Pepper, Citric Acid.
Attributes: USDA Organic, Certified Kosher & Gluten Free, Non-GMO Verified, Wind Powered Operation, Non-Dairy.
Format: Liquid Concentrate 1:1 ratio
Preparation: Shake well, add equal amounts of concentrate with milk or milk substitute.
Additional information: Third Street Chai is brewed authentically, under the watchful eyes and hands of our in-house brewmasters. After blending and milling our freshly delivered, whole spices by hand, each batch of spices is swiftly settled into custom kettles, designed in accordance with the ideals of tradition, consistency and purity in mind. The freshly milled spices are coaxed to release their richest attributes, and the chai is brewed and finished to a perfect pitch – not too sweet, not too spicy, but a gentle and steady balance between every flavor we love.
TASTE-O-METER Rating:
"Third Street's Honey Vanilla Spice chai is similar to their Authentic, except with added vanilla flavoring and its slightly sweeter character. I say "slightly" because while the added sweetness here is noticeable, it's certainly not overpowering. It also seemed to take my attention away from the spices a little, although I suspect they are in their same full glory right "below the surface" of attention. Hence, the spicy "7" rating here versus Authentic's 8. I would have expected more of the characteristic flavor of honey here, but it seems to also remain in the background. A very well balanced, drinkably sweet chai."
