"Torani Spiced Chai is a horse of a different color from the various chai microbrewers. While it offers chai flavoring without a doubt, the taste here also includes the distinct presence of what I can only call a 'liqueur' style flavoring. I must confess I'm not a liqueur drinker, so that might not be the best term... yet its slight bite reminds me of a hint of amaretto or some other alcohol-tinged drink in a mild presence. So that is the primary distinction I'd point out here. Beyond that, it is a relatively low bodied, mild spice and mild sweetness when mixed 1 1/2oz syrup to 16oz cup. Note: The primary 'competition' for Torani chai syrup is Monin Chai Tea syrup, which is significantly thicker, darker, and a bit stronger on all counts."
