What is a Chai Latte?

Chai tea is a combination of black tea with added spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, clove, black pepper, nutmeg, star anise, ginger and fennel. In India it is called masala chai and traditionally brewed strong and mixed with equal parts milk. A distinctly sweeter and creamier version, created for the American palatte is known as the "chai latte."
